The Question That Started It All

Why do organisations wait until reputation is under pressure to make their most important decisions?

We never had to search for the answer. Every position we take, every relationship we build, every piece of advice we give comes from the same conviction: every decision carries a reputational consequence. It is not a principle we apply when convenient. It is the standard by which we work. So we gave that conviction a name: CRĒDO.

The people behind the judgement

Built by two founders, by design.

CRĒDO brings together two judgements that cannot be separated when the stakes are high: public credibility and legal exposure.

Co-Founder · Strategy & Public Credibility

Ali M.K. MAKKEPhD

With a background spanning media, strategic communications, academia, nation branding and soft power, Ali works across reputation strategy, public credibility and stakeholder perception — turning them into frameworks and roadmaps that build reputation before it is tested.

OUR STORY

We built the firm we kept wishing was in the room.

A narrative, not a biography — the moment before the moment, and why no firm was built to stand in it.

01

The Same Room

We came from different worlds, but our conversations kept landing in the same place. One looked at credibility and reputation. The other at law and exposure.

Different lenses. Same instinct: what happens when a decision makes sense from one side, but creates a problem on the other?

02

The Pattern We Kept Seeing

Then we kept seeing the same moment: a leadership team turning to the room and asking,

“What do we do now?”

By then, the decision had already been made.

Legal was protecting exposure
Communications was protecting perception
Strategy was protecting performance

Everyone was doing their part. The bigger judgement was missing.

03

The Decision

We started asking each other questions our disciplines did not always ask. Is this legally sound, but reputationally wise? Will it build confidence, or stir a reaction? Does it solve today's problem while creating tomorrow's?

The gap was not another specialist. It was the judgement between them.

We built CRĒDO.

04

Today

Today, CRĒDO is pioneering Reputation Infrastructure in a region where reputation has too often been treated as a campaign, a response or a communications problem.

We believe it belongs much earlier: in the decisions that shape what people see, experience and ultimately believe.

Let's start a conversation.

Before the communication. Before the crisis. Before the launch. Before the decision takes on a life of its own. There is still a moment when it can be made differently.
